As a family owner restaurant... need to finish writing, can add this for now... even though Phil attended culinary school and has worked at many restaurants, much of his influence and exposure to food came as a young child from his family. He grew up watching his mom cook in the kitchen and enjoyed many home cooked meals with his parents and older sister. From the food his mom cooked at home came the inspiration for his own restaurant concept, Honeybird. Like many kids, the biggest thing that comes to mind when thinking about fried chicken would be KFC. But he saw his mom make fried chicken at home and this experience has stayed as a precious food memory, forever etched in his heart. With the deliciousness of what his mom made at home, he brings to the tables at Honeybird, to enjoy the warmth of southern comfort in the inviting environment at Honeybird, a place to enjoy with family and friends. With this vision, Honeybird was made.
